Black Flowerpiercer 01
Black Flowerpiercer 01
This is probably one of my favorite photographs I've taken up until now. Of course, the Black Flowerpiercer is not native to the US. I took this photograph in Ecuador. I love the composition with that pink flowering tree. Or is that a bush? And I love the pose with the tail slightly fanned and the wing away from its body. And last but not least, I love that it's singing.

Rufous Throated Tanager 01
Rufous Throated Tanager 01
A classic portrait shot. A very popular type of photo for social media posts. I generally prefer taking photographs with more nature in view. But I do see the appeal of this type of shot as well, especially for social media content.

I recommend watching Nature Mood 02 - Oregon Coast Spring 2026 if you haven't already. Or watch it again if you have. It features these wild blooming Rhododendron.

Fungi 01
Fungi 01
I believe that this specific Fungi is called Stereum Ochraceoflavum, however, I'm not positive. Because of that, and because that name is a bit scientific, I just went with Fungi for this photograph name. Note that all Mushrooms are Fungi, but not all Fungi are Mushrooms.

Tule Elk 04
Tule Elk 04
The adult male Tule Elk usually stuck together and left the females and juveniles to fend for themselves elsewhere on the property. While hanging out, they would often play with one another by locking their antlers and seeing who was stronger. It was all in good fun. These were taken as the Sun was setting and the sky in the area lit up in an orange hue.

The Tule Elk of Point Reyes Station were generally in herds, so I wanted to share a photograph that captured how their community groups together.
