This was the first critter I photographed while up on Mt. Lassen recently. Even before the Nutcracker with the golden sky. The sky wasn't golden at this time because the sun was exposed right on the horizon but then quickly was hidden by clouds. A little light was coming through the clouds so this is softly backlit, which is neat.
