I took this shot last year and unfortunately I have not seen this species since. They are very cool, though, so I'm looking forward to my next encounter.

In the water, out of the water, I don't really care where critters are, but I’m going to photograph them and show you what they look like in the environment that I found them in.

The forests outside Eureka, CA, are some of my favorite spots to find a variety of Mushrooms.

These Otters were able to find a lot of food within the short amount of time that I spent watching them. Fish and Crustaceans were on the menu.

River Otters are so expressive. They always seem to be moving about. Even when they take a break, it's only for a minute, and then they are back to some sort of shenanigans.

A while ago I posted another photograph of this same Blue Heron where it was flying right in front of me. It was standing on this rock preening itself for a little while prior to that. Its thin feathers became sprawled out as it combed them with its beak.

A Slug or Snail left a gooey trail around this Bolete. Unfortunately, I arrived a little too late and couldn't find the culprit.

After the Sun had already set I stuck around Manzanita Lake in Mt. Lassen to watch a family of Deer. This particular juvenile looked up to see what its sibling was eating over in the tall grass.
