This Dragonfly would perch on this branch for only a few seconds before taking off, flying around, and returning to this branch. I noticed the pattern, so I was able to grab some shots quickly. Most of the shots were okay, but this one shows the body of the Dasher more clearly than the others, as opposed to its wings blocking its body. I captured this right as it was landing.

Oregon Coast Spring 2026

During Spring of 2026 I took a short trip to the Oregon Coast. It was a perfect time to visit as wild Rhododendrons were blooming, something that is celebrated in the area. The City of Florence, OR, even has a parade and carnival as a part of their annual Florence Rhododendron Festival, or as the locals call it, Rhody Days. The blooms were a pleasant surprise as I wasn't aware of this special event ahead of time. It worked out perfect because my plan was to create Nature Mood 02 during my little visit. I hope you enjoy!
