I'll start today off with another Green Jay photograph. This species can actually be found in a couple Southern states of the US but I haven't traveled to those areas quite yet. My encounters were all in Ecuador.

Jays are some of the loudest birds, and they often flock in small groups. I feel like if you are learning about birds, you might be able to identify a species as a Jay even if it's your first encounter. Each species has its own unique calls and characteristics, but at the same time, just based on behavior, you might be able to guess if a bird is a Jay.
