Western Gray Squirrel 05
Western Gray Squirrel 05
This is one of my favorite Gray Squirrel photographs. This juvenile looks like a cartoon character with its perky eyes.

Tule Elk 01
Tule Elk 01
Tule Elk were nearly driven to extinction in California but efforts have been ongoing to restore their population, specifically at the Point Reyes National Seashore. The area is a peninsula (land that is surrounded on three sides by water) and is elevated with cliffside all around. While the area is beautiful overall, I do find it strange that most of the land is taken up by large fields used for cattle grazing. But there is opportunity for other life to succeed such as these special Tule Elk.

If I did name my photographs with clever titles then this one would be called “The Third Eye.” But I do not title my photographs with such titles. You can make up your own clever titles for my photographs if you’d like. That sounds more fun for the both of us.

River Otter 14
River Otter 14
The Otter on the right hand side decided to shake off the water embedded in its fur. That’s what is going on with this photograph.

River Otter 04
One of my favorite River Otter photographs I have taken. The Otter was moving so some of the water was dropping off of it.

Horse 02
Horse 02
My lens was too long for these Horse because they were really close by. And I had to get back in the van to continue our trip to a spot where we would end up finding an Ecuadorian Hillstar (Hummingbird). That is why this is the best photograph I took of these particular Horses. I just couldn’t go somewhere else far enough to get a great photograph of them.
But my friend told me that she loves photographs of Horses after she saw my photograph of Horse 01. So I decided that I’ll share this photograph anyways. I don’t think it’s an excellent photograph, but I think it’s good enough to share.
If you ever wanted to search for a particular photograph or species or anything, simply use the search function on my Field Notes. Just type something in and it will recommend all the posts with whatever you typed, if valid. It’s a very useful feature.
