I like any Mushroom that includes Bonett in the name.

My wife and I liked how this Hares Foot Inkcap was towering out of the leaves. This Mushroom was quite tall in person.

I think Bark Bonnet is a great name for a Mushroom.

This is a type of Mushroom called a Bolete. Unfortunately, I don’t know the exact species.

This is actually an older photo I took in 2023 and entered it into the photo contest at the 2023 Wild Mushroom Fair put on by the Los Angeles Mycological Society. This photo is included on my Sightings page in the Award Winning Photos Collection but I wanted to put it in my Field Notes as well so that people can download it if they want the wallpapers.

The photo I entered was cropped and printed vertically as to show off the reflection more and you can see that version in the Award Winning Photos Collection when you visit that page. The phone wallpaper shows off the reflection well too.

Some Mushrooms I won’t be able to identify. This is one of them. The photographs of the ones I’m not positive about will be saved as simply Mushroom with whatever number comes after in the sequence.

What a name. I can’t confirm if it is accurate, though, as I did not smell it. I’ll try to remember to do that next time I see these mushrooms.

I love all of Nature. I’ve stated that a few times on my website. That includes Mushrooms.

Something of note: Mushrooms are technically just the fruiting body of a Fungi. Fungi are the broad biological group that includes Lichens, Molds, Mushrooms, Rusts, Smuts, Truffles, and Yeasts. Because the word Mushroom is just more commonly used I may refer to those other organisms as Mushrooms as well, knowing that they may not be technically. Same reason why I don’t use the Latin names of any species. It’s easier to consume Nature Content this way. All of these organisms will be categorized as Fungi on my website and will be named by specific species if I can. Some Mushrooms cannot be identified without multiple processes including taste, spore prints, acid tests, etc. I prefer just looking at them.
