While visiting a preserve about an hour from my house, I encountered some Wild Turkey and a Coyote, though I wasn't able to get any usable photos. Driving through some farmland on my way back home, I came across a small herd of Mule Deer eating apples on the lawn of a large property.
Even though the sun had already set, I decided to pull over and take a few shots. This is the only shot that I really liked. I particularly enjoyed framing the deer between the two trees. As I have mentioned before in my Field Notes, I generally prefer to avoid man-made objects in my photography, but occasionally I will if I think it works.
