For some reason, the Collared Inca was not a stand-out hummingbird among all the other hummingbirds I was photographing in Ecuador, but it is a special bird and more unique than I gave it credit for. The blue-to-green coloring on its throat and body is very pleasing to the eye, and its signature white collar demands attention.
