Solitaires are one of my favorite species of birds. Many of their songs sound ominous in ways that only hearing would do it justice. The Black Solitaire's song is a little different than the other species because it's simply one tone, kind of like a whistle being blown at half speed. Still a bit ominous if you were out in the wild and heard this sound out of nowhere.
